Like in the Movies

Actually, there is one thing about me that is a little bit movie like; I always wear khaki pants, a dress shirt and tie, and if I am attending a special occasion of any kind, I wear a full suit. Do you ever watch action shows/movies in which men run through jungles, mud puddles, garbage dumps, war zones, swim in the ocean, and occasionally save the world from total destruction, all while wearing business attire and a necktie that could very easily be used for strangulation? In real life, that's me (minus most of the heroics).

I'm probably the only person who you will ever see mowing the lawn or hiking while wearing a necktie. Actually, I feel wierd without one; it has been over 2 years since I have worn a shirt without a tie.

Most people try to avoid wearing a necktie, but I'm the opposite. It doesn't matter how dirty or big the job; I'll roll up the sleeves on my dress shirt and tuck my tie into it, but it is a personal code of professionalism that I won't abandon.

Sometimes, the cool song I'm listening to in the car will end just as I'm parking or stepping out of the car.

That actually does happen to me - or at least I plan things so that it happens. ;) Even nicer is when the song reaches a certain chord, cadence or pause at the moment I step out. :bolian:

It's comforting to know that whenever I do get to my first time there's now way it will be as awesome as this.
In real life or in your movies? ;)
Real life. Just can't seem to quite get there. :sigh: Actually already did a sex scene in a film this spring, looked pretty good. But we had to edit it out, it just didn't work with the rest of the movie.
Really the romantic in me is in awe  Also love the sucker punch here...

...that drives it home! That makes both the romantic and film director in me all squiggly :D
Feel free to use the scene in a film -- it'll be my claim to fame.
I might do that at some point! Going to be focusing on editing for a few years, but I know I won't be able to keep away from actual filming indefinetly.

Yeah, that always gets me in the mood too.

Oh, wait: Klimt's The Kiss

Not so much, that one.
Am I an odd predominantly heterosexual man if actually am a bit more tickled by the latter one? It speaks to the artist in me.
You're probably fine. "Art" isn't exactly the reason I like that first image. I mean, it does have an artistic quality that I enjoy, but that feeling is overshadowed by the "woah, girls kissing. Awesome!" feeling I get.
To me the "art" bit is kinda exciting actually, I think that's part of it as well.

But hey, bro and I had to stop ourselves a bit ago and as a question: where we odd for going for the less obviously attractive, more traditionally classes as cute character in a series, rather then the more traditional sexbomb character (which by the way was quite the nice gal as well, so no bitch-factor or anything) in the same series?

The conclusion we came to was that if we where "weird", it's pretty much in line with everything else in our lives anyway

Incidentally, I don't carry a picture of my loved ones around with me, nor do I constantly show them to whichever authority figure is present.

I'm still alive. :D

^You'll regret that when a villain holds you hostage and you don't have anything to plead with, like photos of dough-eyed children in your wallet who need their daddy.

Eh, at least that villain would get less satisfaction from killing me if I didn't show him said pictures. :) I'd probably be more valuable to him as a result. Maybe.
are you saying Zion's got fat kids? cuz surely that should be doe-eyed kids?

tch, and you a teacher....
Alas...what 38 hours without sleep will do to one's grammar!
As the great yellow-faced one said... D'OUGH!

(sorry) :)

I've always longed for life to be a musical. It would be so fun! Also, the normalcy of it would mean that on some occasions it would lead to the greatest experiences of one's lifetime -- like the love song when you've found the right one -- but sometimes it would be tedious -- like, you'd have to apologize to your boss when you arrive to work twenty minutes late because some idealistic young couple was having their moment and you, happening by, were swept up into the role of backup singer and minor choreography. It'd be like the train being delayed, except instead of, "Damn stupid L train, always late!" it'd be, "Damn those kids up on 67th Street, with their perfect nanny! I've been dancing on rooftops all the way to the office!"

You've just written the idea for the next great Comedy Musical. I would love to see a movie whose main character keeps getting caught up into other peoples musical numbers. He or she never gets their own, and is a bit bitter about it.
