Light Subject Question: DS9's Suckiest Aliens.....

The Skreea were the Sackville-Baggins' of DS9. If they'd been allowed to settle on Bajor, all the silverware would've gone missing. Well, whatever silverware the Bajorans had left.

They should have been zealots who tried to take Bajor by force. That would have been interesting.

By "storyteller aliens" you mean Bajorans? The ep where O'Brien had to tell their "story" to stop the sky monster whatever? That was Bajor, but somehow it comes off as a Trek planet-of-the-week....

If this was the TOS section, I'd say the salt creature. Covered in suckers...

Usually I think totally human aliens are the lame ones.

I didn't know that episode happened on Bajor, that seems weird for the Bajorans, wouldn't they trust the Prophets to kill the dal'roc? Anyway that's just a stupid episode.

Apparently the "Prophet" belief system allows for some degree of local variation including other minor deities or powerful beings, similar to Shinto and Hinduism.

I couldn't tell either, but look at the noses. It's apparently some remote part of Bajor with a different culture, and it's good they tried to show that.

The Wadi from Move Along Home. I can put aside the poor language skills, the lame gaming, and the utter blandness....but NEVER the mullets and track suits. Inexcusable suckage.

On that note - has anyone else ever taken note of their resemblance to the Brunnen-G from Lexx?

:techman: Isn't that what dust is? The cumulative effect of all the skin cells we shed.
Like 90% of dust is skin.

I may have to watch the Skrean episode again; haven’t in years and years. But they’re eete hardly the worst. That goes to the Meridian aliens or the ones from that planet of disappearing holograms...aliens without character or makeup of any kind.

Heh, I've previously cited the "Shadowplay" aliens as an example of how good costuming can save you when the makeup budget goes bust. They work for me as a specific alien race, and it's all thanks to those costumes, they're pretty much doing the work of it.
