Lie To Me & The Chicago Code Cancelled

I'm so glad I didn't get invested in the Chicago Code. I could see that one coming. Had DVR'd to watch in case it got picked up, guess I can wipe that slate clean now.

You should watch it anyways, wonderful show.

Fox should have kept it instead of Fringe and used it as filler for shortern seasons of House and Bones.

Going to kind of miss Lie to Me. I think it was the only formulaic procedural I'd watch. Roth will bounce back.

Lie to Me seemed well-liked around here when it began, but interest fizzled out pretty quickly. I wanted to see a Lie to Me/House crossover. Lightman meeting House owuld have been fun. Maybe Tim Roth can still make an appearance on House.

I'll miss Lie To Me.

Also The Human Target and Breaking In got the axe. Didn't get around to watching those. Guess I won't now. I feel sorry for Christian Slater. That's like three shows in a row that didn't get a full season.

Good riddance. Lie to Me was just another boring procedural and felt like a rip off of Mentalist and House with the acerbic lead in Tim Roth. I sampled The Chicago Code and found it garden variety corrupt cop fare with a boring cast and Jennifer Beals didn't seem to fit the role. Its good to see networks in recent years be more aggressive in not tolerating underperforming weak series.

While Tim Roth was wonderful, Lie to Me was so formulaic that it very quickly became tiresome. The leads were great but the plots in the second season went nowhere. It very quickly became a pale imiatation of House, only with solving crimes instead of medical mysteries.

Still, I too would LOVE to see Tim Roth's Lightman guest on House. He would be the only character who could actually put House in his place.

I'll miss Lie to Me, and won't even bother with Chicago code, as it has only justs started on this side of the pond.
