Lexana vs. Chlex (Smallville)

Originally misread the title as "Lexana vs Chlark" and remembered how miffed I was when season 6 dropped the ball on that.

Lex and Lana would have been much more compelling and interesting in my opinion if it weren't just a plot device to eventually get Clark and Lana back together which ultimately happened. It was really just an extended commentary on Lex wanting everything that Clark has and tainting it.

Agreed, also with Guy Gardener on the wrongitudity.

Clark/Lana
Clark/Tess
Chloe/Jimmy
Lois/Oliver
Lois/Tess

Wait, what are we listing here?

Hold up, wasn't Connor a more popular character than Clark? And he's Lex and Clark's love child, so, shouldn't it be Clark/Lex that folks are rooting for? :wtf:

Don't you mean that Clark and Lex are rooting?

And he's Lex and Clark's love child
Apparently I've missed quite a bit. :D

Be glad you missed that.

The execution was as diabolical as always but the idea is sound and has been used to great effect in comics for the better part of the last decade.

The most recent addition to this mess is that Lex Luthors niece is trying to jump Conner Kent's bones but Smallville is just not quite that south.

The young actor they had playing Superboy on Smallville has been doing a fine job on SWitched at Birth as the troubled brother with the gambling addiction.

Wait, what are we listing here?

I was listing relationships I liked. :techman:

Chloe and Lex had chemistry in season three? If anything they were antagonists to each other and I don't remember watching them have any kind of romantic potential. These group of shippers must come from K-Site :)

I can't be glad if I don't know the full horror of what I missed. Scoop, scoop!

(It has occurred to me that Clark is an alien, and anything goes as to Kryptonian reproduction.)

Don't you mean that Clark and Lex are rooting?
Sadly, I'm unfamiliar with the term "rooting" as used in the context of Kryptonian reproduction.

I could be wrong, and it's nowhere as entertaining, but, I believe Lex somehow cloned Clark, hence the referred to Love Child

In the comics Connor was secretly mixed with Lex's genes yes. Luthor has since attempted to influence Connor and there was a whole entire arc where Connor questioned himself after he learned he was part Luthor. In fact I believe Red Robin (Tim Drake) found this out at Connor's request.

There was this Clone on Smallville who in his gooey centre was Lex and Clark DNA all stirred up. They thought it was just another Lex Clone until bullets started bouncing of his chest.

This is actually "genetically" what their child would look like, even if his outward appearance is identical to a Young Lex Luthor.

One of the first things Geoff Johns (Now a Smallville writer) did on the Teen Titans was to have Superboy(Superman's teen Clone) discover that when they cooked him up in the lab that there was just so much that they didn't understand about Kryptonian dna that they had to use a bit of human to help smoothe the edges. Any human would have done. Any human at all.

Lex was screwing Supergirl in the 90s when he had all that hair pretending he was his own Austalian son (They scooped out his brain and eyes, then put it into an idealized clone of Lex Luthor who had been dying of kryptonite radiation pioisoning because of that signet ring he wouldn't take off.)

Of course back then Supergirl was just a pile of snot from a mirror universe who thought that she was Lana Lang, so it's not like she had any kryptonian reproductive system for Luthors jizz to smash into hoping for a child who could kick Superman's ass for him down the line.

PS

How can one not know that "rooting" is Australian for sexual congress? Have you been rooting? I rooted her. I had a good root. And so on.

We are supposed to be an international community appreciating the wonders of all our global swears.

Rats root around in the muck, we have lots of Rats in Congress, so, I guess that explains all the Sexual indiscretions of our Congressmen

I had never heard the term "Rooting" applied in that manner, thanks for broadening my vocabulary

Hate-child.
As I've said before, I saw about half of S1, and then maybe 5 or 6 episodes over the rest of the course of the show, and Lex and Clark always seemed to me to have the hots for each other, it was Lionel tying to drive a wedge between them, wasn't it (and apparently flip-flopping Lana)

Technically he murdered her parents.

If Lex is going to blame him for the hair (He did in the Comics, don't think this was expressed in Smallville?), then Lana can blame him for being an Orphan.

She "wimped out", don't you mean Sindatur?

He had his secret, and as soon as he fumbled it out with out realizing that she knew, Lana instiforgave his superdeush factor and started making wedding plans, even though he still didn't trust or love her enough to tell her just because it felt like the right thing to do.

She is a Clark Kent Apologist.

Chloe and Lois however had a "fuck you" mind set. If he was going to prance around thinking that he can outwit the stupid humans with his master of disguise routine and Three Clark Monte then let him play his pathetic little game because if he thinks that all humans should be underestimated or patronized then that fricking space yokel has exactly what's coming to him: A world of hurt.

They didn't just wait for Clark to be ready and comfortable.

Chloe and Lois laughed and steamed at him for months while he tried to figure out if his best friends could be trusted with a secret they were already keeping from even him most excellently. I saw Chloe looking for a gun once because he was lying to her face so poorly.

Pete I think just walked into it.

No time for games.

As if guys play games anyway.

Considering Lana could have contracted space herpies off Clark there was no reason that she shouldn't have been absolutely livid that not only did the man she love think she was untrustworthy and faithless, but that he had already told Chloe first. What the frakk has Chloe got that she doesn't?

**Sigh**

Clark never apologised for killing the Langs.

What a dick.

As I said, very few episodes under my belt. Must've saw something out of context. I seemed to remember that Lana was with the Blond Jock Guy, but, she was sending "take me" signals to Clark all the time, but, then, never coming around.

Clark bonded with Whitney I suspect so that he wouldn't be tempted to cuckold him.

Clark was a weird nerd.

He was suppose to wind up with Chloey.

Though Chloe would have outgrown him by college, just like Willow outgrew Xander.
