I'm kind of surprised that this hasn't been front-page news everywhere:

Not commenting on the actual research, which is very fascinating and hopeful, but these kind of "miracle cures" happen all the time.
The odds of a such a promising pre-clinical or even phase I compound actually working in the broader population are slim.

But it does happen! And if this particular one doesn't work, it will at least have opened up new mechanisms for dealing with certain cancers.
