Therin of Andor got me thinking. He does a great job of creating Trek costumes and makeup. There must be others out there with the talent and know-how to do this, well.

As soon as I manage to get my computer and scanner fixed I'll even submit a couple of my own. Meanwhile, why not send in photos of you in your home-made sci-fi costumes? Let's see 'em.

Here's me about 20 years ago.

My wife and I one Halloween at Quark's in Las Vegas. The Ferengi makeup is a Westmore deluxe kit enhanced with a Woochie "orc" facial prosthetic. After several failed attempts at authentic-looking Andorian antennae, I finally gave up and created a set of "party antennae" out of clear plastic drink straws with clear knobs on the end. They had blue glow-sticks inside, which was a very cool effect in the dark bar and on the dance floor.

My most recent (and, currently, only costume that fits) duds:

Since I view Trek as 'in-universe propaganda' this is my 'real' UESPA uniform. The hat reads UES CONSTELLATION NCC-1017. The ID card is my hospital ID badge, which I forgot to take off for some reason when I switched my clergy shirt for my turtleneck and tunic.
