Lets invent the next big thing...

Plecostomus

Commodore
I'm sitting here in a workshop full of tools and I'm plum out of ideas.

Inspire me.

For materials I have 1/8th thick 1/2 inch wide steel bar-stock, nylon rod up to one inch... PEX, PVC and copper-metal pipe different sizes, TORLON, Delrin, and PEX rod up to two inches... and some funky brass that I really don't want to talk about.

Full assortment of tools including two mills, a lathe, chop-saw, bender, press-brake and a welder along with hand tools.

A flux capacitor would be cool. Warp drive, too. Good luck! :)

I have no plutonium and the wife put my last dilithium crystal in her vibrator. :(

If we only had a motor we might be onto something here.

...checking the scrap bin I have several DC motors up to 1/8th horse-power. :techman:

Let's invent a motor!

Hush, you. :shifty:

lightsabers?

Last time I did that George Lucas popped out of a space-time rift and took my idea back to the 1970s then turned around and sued me. :scream:

If we only had a motor we might be onto something here.

[dred pirate roberts]Then why didn't you list that among our assets?

Okay, cut out a dancing monkey from the metal stock, attach it to a nut that fits the threaded rod. Attach the motor to the rod and then to a switch and power source. When the monkey makes it to the top hit the switch and having it come back down. Jayson will buy a million of them.

I don't really have the right sort of metal stock to make a monkey, but the mechanical aspect sounds intriguing.

In the quiet words of George Takei: Oh My!

That's what she said.

Zero energy hydrogen electrolysis. Go.

Again? Always with the free energy nonsense. If I could convert foolishness into energy I could replace the sun. :scream:

When I did co-op at Honeywell to work on the missle defense shield way back, one of the engineers showed me an assembly for opening a port on a satellite. A threaded rod was used to open the hatch. Slowly at first, and then when it traveled a certain distance a lobe would hit a switch and turn the screw faster. It was a beautiful thing to see in motion. I'll never forget how simple the idea yet how elegant it was.

Of course that doesn't help this project...

Why dont you invent a trashcan that can hold a large plastic bag so when I am dumping leaves or grass clippings in it, the bag dont keep falling down in the friggin' trash can!

Dual purpose, all-in-one powered nipple propellers and shockers.

I would attach a rough blueprint, but then I'd probably get banned :(
