Let's hear it for the Vulptex.

The crystalline wolves in "The Last Jedi" were infinitely cooler and more worthy of adoration than the Porgs. Across all movies in time I've seen numerous cute, hamster-like, overly expressive animals. I've never seen canine creatures with crystal fur. So let's heap some adoration on them! Where's the plush toys and memes about them, huh?

Oh, sure, obsess over your little googly-eyed little rodents. Bring me a dog that sounds like a wind-chime when it runs.

I prefer the Vulp-whatevers to the porgs just by virtue of them having less screentime and not being so obnoxiously toy-sales based. And they actually served the plot, ever so slightly. :)

They seemed way too similar to the Loth-wolves in Rebels to me. At least the porgs were original, even if their presence was originally just to cover up the ubiquitous puffins.

Yes, I like the crystal wolves too. Maybe somebody will start selling a 3D printed design on Shapeways that looks exactly like these but has a generic name.

Vulpes, the root word Vulptex and Vulpex, is a Latin word for the species colloquially called fox. (Which error on my part re: the thread title they're crystalline fox, not wolves.)

The "crystal critters" - Finn had a terrific description of them! Yeah, the Vulptex were way-cool as well. They don't eat or get eaten but they're one of the more interesting additions to SW...

Oh, regarding Porgs, you forgot the adjective "tasty". That still tickles me, and maybe Chewie brings Porgs to the Vulptex planet and the Porgs eat the Vulptex... I still want a playset featuring porgs, Chewie, and the BBQ spit with cornish hen-like figure turning in the middle to represent Chewie's dinner... and, yes, I'm older than 29 and still want a collectible toy... :D
