lets cast historical figures.

I can't be arsed to download and re-upload a picture of all three, but I'd love to see Hugh Laurie play King George, Tsar Nicholas and Kaiser Wilhelm all in one movie. His resemblance to the first two is occasionally striking and the third is just for good measure.

Well, they were all cousins, so having the same guy play them all would be pretty cool.

Josh Brolin did a phenomenal job playing George W. Bush, but sometime I think that Richard Dean Anderson looks like him...

I'd also like to see someone really hot play a young Mother Teresa.

Well, if it hadn't already been done, I'd suggest Patrick Stewart as Lenin.

Oh what the hell, it was such perfect casting, it deserves to be said again.

Patrick Stewart as Lenin in Fall of Eagles was brilliant casting; it was also a bright spot in a huge sea of dull and really fucking boring.

My choices

Robert Knepper as..

The only historical thing about Terry Farrell is having the first same sex kiss on trek and I don't think that warrants a live action production

I think its about time they made a proper "walk the line'esque" biopic of Elvis Presley. Anyone have any suggestions of who they could see playing "The King"?

If we're doing actors, how about Mel Gibson as Henry Fonda?

I don't think so. Even if you grant a superficial facial resemblance (and I don't really see it), Gibson doesn't come close to Fonda's wholesomeness and charm.

And I'm with Nerys Myk -- do actors really count as "historical figures" in the way intended by the thread-starter? I think the idea was to focus on people who had a significant impact on history, the kind of people who'd be talked about in history books, and not just Hollywood history.
