On another board, I raised the question of who would make a good Gene Roddenberry if they ever made a biopic about him. My suggestion was Beau Bridges. Another good suggestion I heard was Nick Chinlund; I saw him recently in Law & Order: CI and thought he bore a pretty strong facial resemblance (although you can't tell it from his main picture on IMDb because he has a shaven head and a goatee there). Someone else suggested Richard Kind, which doesn't work for me, but others might disagree.

^^ I'm thinking Colin Morgan myself.

Absolutely, Colin Morgan would be fit for a young Jandek, but Mark Pellegrino is perfect for the role of a mature Jandek. He has that "mystique" that anyone playing the role would need. He's also skilled in the "Meisner technique" and could really put that to use in a biopic.

I can't be arsed to download and re-upload a picture of all three, but I'd love to see Hugh Laurie play King George, Tsar Nicholas and Kaiser Wilhelm all in one movie. His resemblance to the first two is occasionally striking and the third is just for good measure.
