"Let That Be Your Worst Episode"...the stolen shuttle

Were my eyes playing tricks on me, or did the shuttle at first have NO printing on its nose, and then at our second glimpse of it (once it was flat on the deck), did it actually say "Enterprise" on the nose?

Ummm....

"Enterprise" on the nose of a shuttle stolen from a Starbase?

Did the original shot have that error?

If so, I'm not sure whether to hug the Remaster guys, or throw things.

If it was in the original, neat that they left it that way, but still, if they could make a Gorn blink, couldn't they have fixed the mistake on the shuttle, and at least put the word "Starbase" on it instead?

I haven't seen the HD shots but it looks like it said "USS Enterprise" on the nose and "NCC 1701/7" on the sides in all of the original shots.

See here, here, here and here.

^ That was its registry, yes, but the actual name of the shuttle (written in the customary red cursive writing) is Da Vinci.

Hey, it was very late here, and I didn't recheck before posting.

Watched it again this afternoon.

Yep. They fixed it. It did NOT say "Enterprise" on the nose. It said "Starbase".

Sorry, guys.

In the old FX they just used the only shuttle miniture they had, not realizeing that many years later fans would notice it on thier DVD's and large screen HDTV's so this is another case of CBS-D fixing something that needed fixing.

Heck, in the old FX they just recycled stock footage filmed for "The Galileo Seven." This was an episode so low in budget that they couldn't even afford to give Bele so much as a lousy animated blob of light for a spaceship, and so he ended up with a ship that was invisible for no story reason whatsoever.

The OLD shuttle(stock footage)from 1969 said "Enterprise" since the creators back then did nothing to hide their shameless and cost-effective recycing of old opticals. The new CGI shuttle says "Starbase 4."
