Re: Leonard Nimoy has died

Just saw the article prior to coming here today.

VERY sad news :( , but he did live a long and full life. My condolences to his family and close friends. I loved him in the role of Mr. Spock.

I can't ever remember Star Trek not being a part of my life. My earliest memories are watching the original series in syndication and the animated series on Saturday mornings, and most of all my Mego collection including the Enterprise playset. I've been through so much with both Spock and Mr. Nimoy. To this day In Search Of ... gives me chills. Of all those associated with Star Trek, his loss will be the deepest felt ... at least to me.

Live long and prosper.

Today is a sad day!

I had the pleasure of meeting him back in the 90's when he did a lecture at USF here in Tampa. As you can imagine, I was in awe when I talked to him. I could barely speak. But he was really nice.

My heart is in my throat.

RIP Mr. Nimoy. Your body may have passed on, but you have meant so much to so many people that you will definitely never be forgotten, and because of that, you will live forever.

So sad. I saw him at Phoenix Comicon a few years ago, and really enjoyed hearing his life story. He was a true artist, and his role as Spock touched my life. Thank you Leonard Nimoy, rest in peace.

*Does Vulcan salute and bows head in respect* Goodbye Mr. Spock and may we never forget the impact you left on all us Trekkies!, Godspeed!

In many people's lives, a fictional character comes along who gives them the will to live. .... So I'm starting something today. Everyone for whom the character of Spock gave hope, and everyone whose lives Leonard Nimoy has touched in some way, say this with me:

I Am Spock.

SF3

I'll say it. I am Spock.
Some time ago I located and bought this relic, scanned it, and passed it on to My Star Trek Scrapbook. This says it all about what kind of person Leonard Nimoy was.

Spock -- Teenage Outcast (FaVE, May '69)

What a thing to wake up to.
I half expected it after seeing he was hospitalized, but hoped for the best.

Don't know what to say. Hoped it wouldn't happen for many years.

Me too, but given his diagnosis last year, I've actually been expecting to hear this. Still sad news though.

Also, in the words of another late great Star Trek actor: "He's really not dead as long as we remember him".
