Leno's a bomb...

Considering they often do a bit of a comedy routine around the presentation of this one, it'll be interesting to see what O'Brien does.

Conan O'Brien cannot be there, so we accept on his behalf

Since he's not allowed to be on TV till November

Actually it's September I htink, but who knows exactly what it says. Does it say he can't do an interview or have his own show? I mean what happens if they do Cops and he's in the background.

^ I want to see that skit!

Conan- They said I couldn't be on TV but I slipped through the cracks BWAHAHA!!!!

Cops

Cop- Alright you sick pervert you're going to jail
Conan- HEY! she said she was 18!

Conan- Max we're busted!

Donkey walks out of the door way and Max's privates are blurred but we can make out he has some sort of device attached

Jay will "accept" the award.
Presenter: "This award was originally meant for Leno, but he graciously offered it to Conan instead. But after watching Conan with the award for a few minutes, Jay decided he wanted it back."

where are the leno apologist who went after conan for his ratings..
squirm zucker squirm.. you are about to be slimed...

Adding insult to injury, they've just announced that Conan's Tonight Show has been nominated for an Emmy in the Variety/Music/Comedy Series category (not even Letterman was nominated in that one, which surprised me because his "confession" regarding his affairs was one of the most remarkable late-night TV moments of the last decade).

Conan Tweeted about the win:
Congrats to my staff on 4 Emmy nominations. This bodes well for the future of The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien.

It is September and it's only for hosting. Conan did an interview with 60 Minutes on May 2, 2010. I think the contract prohibited him from doing an interview prior to May.

"NBC and Conan O'Brien have reached a resolution of the issues surrounding O'Brien's contract to host the 'Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien,'" NBC and Conan said in a joint statement to Access Hollywood on Thursday. "Under terms of an agreement that was signed earlier today, NBC and O'Brien will settle their contractual obligations and the network will release O'Brien from his contract, freeing him to pursue other opportunities after September 1, 2010."

Zucker has compromising private information or photos of other NBC brass participating in a donkey show or something equally explicit. That is the only reason possible that he still has a job. Imagine if anyone else did as shitty a job as he has at NBC--they'd have been canned a long time ago.

NBC is going down the drain anyway. First the Conan/Jay debacle, then they canceled Law and Order, now this. When is this network just going to fold already?!

Right after CW does.

Which will be never.

The CW is young and on the climb, with it's viewers still young enough to make the shows shown on it successful. NBC is full of older viewers and shows that don't attract anybody (save for Chuck and Law & Order and SNL.) NBC might fold long before the CW does.

And when evil Comcast takes them over, the viewing public is in for a world of even more disappointment.

I've seen it reported in the past that Comcast wants NBCU for the cable networks and the production facilities. Running a broadcast network is way down their list.

I can see them moving the good shows currently running on NBC to various cable networks, and closing down NBC.

I feel NBC is too valuable from its name alone to close down. Now they might only put on low-cost programming nobody gives a crap about, but I don't see them getting rid of the network entirely.

In what universe are you living?

Even the shit rated shows with horrible demos still get twice as many viewers than anything on CW.

I don't care, so long as Chuck finishes its run and ends on a positive note first.

NBC can fall into a black hole after that, for all I care.

I've seen some online talk that USA had expressed their interest in taking Chuck if NBC proper didn't want it anymore. Similar to what they did with L&O:CI. Also saw a blurb that Skiffy was hinting that they would be open to the same as well.

It's interesting that the (Far more successful) cable channels are starting to eye up the parent for poaching.

Yes please!

And yeah, it's hard to believe that USA is owned by the same people who own NBC.

Because Zucker the dumb fucker isn't really doing anything to USA. Everything he touches dies.

A block of Chuck and Psych would be awesome. And even though they're different thematically despite the shared spy framing device, Chuck and Burn Notice together wouldn't be bad either.

Ah.... reading this makes me happy. I was never a huge Conan fan, but when he got screwed like Letterman, I was not hard to pick who I wanted on the Tonight Show. That and Leno just isn't funny.
