Leisure Suit Larry HD Remake.

The only really good ones were the first and the sixth game. Part 7 was decent.

However, I am interested if this means the second and third game will finally be given a point and click interface.

Yeah, that seems the case seeing as they want to have the games on the iPhone and Andoid devices, so there's a lot of potential there. Who knows, if the engine is good enough, it could lead to other stuff being remade too.

Nah, Leisure Suit Larry in particular had been sold to Codemasters, who released those two awful Larry games. I guess they must have gone to Codemasters and bought it from them as the franchise had lain dormant since the release of those two games.

Did Codemasters buy the license or just the rights to release those two games that were made before the merger? It's weird that they'd sell off one of their licenses like that.

They likely just licensed it, as the games were still published by Sierra. Come to think of it, to come back to your original question, I think Activision may still own the rights. When it was obvious that Codemasters had screwed up on those two games, rights likely reverted back. Something like that. Games business can be confusing :)
