LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures

They just announced on StarWars.com that they are going to be doing a new LEGO Star Wars series, LSW: The Freemaker Adventures. The series will be set between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi and will focus on a group of new characters.
Here's their description:
Told in the whimsically-charged style that audiences have come to expect from LEGO Star Wars entertainment, the series stars the Freemakers, a family of scavengers who build and sell starships from the scoured debris of space battles strewn throughout the galaxy. When their youngest discovers a natural connection with the Force through an ancient artifact — the Kyber Saber — his world is turned upside down, and he and his family are thrown into an epic struggle against the Empire to restore peace and freedom to the galaxy. Throughout their adventures, the Freemakers explore new worlds, meet new and familiar characters, and learn the true value of what it means to be a family.
I've really enjoyed most of the LEGO SW stuff I've seen, so I'm pretty excited about this.

They released another new trailer yesterday:

Not to derail the OT, but it made me think that I would love to see Eddie Izzard's Star Wars Canteen bit done with a full lego treatment.

All props to the person who did the stop-motion LEGO video a few years ago on Youtube. It is a CLASSIC... But deep down, I wish they actually would give it the official treatment.

Watched the first episode, it was just like the other Lego Star Wars specials. Cute. Lots of nice in-jokes. I was already to complain its the exact same damn premise as Rebels, but then... plot twist!

Is anyone watching? They're airing a new episode every day! Why?! Also, why are they airing it in the middle of the day?! Why not at night?

So twelve year olds are just sitting around the house at 10am every weekday morning? Don't these lazy drains on society have JOBS?! :brickwall:

It's a cute show. The last episode had Lando (voiced by Billy Dee!!!) and Dengar in it so that was cool. I'm also glad to see the Emperor in every episode. I love silly Emperor.

Just watched the first few episodes and I'm surprised at how enjoyable it is. Despite the *very* silly tone, it still feels very much like a Star Wars story.

Roger the last Battle Droid is a great idea. I foresee a quick cut montage of all the times he's been cut in half, blown up and crushed by some familiar looking Jedi and clones. ;)

Yeah, Roger is my favorite character. It's obvious but brilliant to name a battle droid "Roger" and give him a true personality like 3PO.

Wouldn't it be funny if it turned out he was the battle droid that had it's head switched with 3PO in AotC? Maybe some protocol droid files got copied across in the process and corrupted his personality. ;)

Well it's first and foremost a comedy show, so things like that aren't such a great problem.
Plus a character like Roger is practically made for that kind of gag. Like it could turn out he was always there in TCW & the movies the whole time and has at one time or another been cut down or blown up by every major character at least once. Salvaged, refurbished and pressed right back into battle.

I would love to watch it, but my cable package doesn't include Disney XD.

That's Master Shake (Dana Snyder) himself as Graballa the Hutt.
I'm watching it just for him.

A little off topic. Right before Mike Tyson mysteries--Burger King did an Adult Swim type promo:

Where were they all those years during Aqua Teen Hungar Force? Or Mickey D's? Frylock's face on the fries--the patties are in Meatwad's shape, etc....
