In world where kaijus exist with all of the implications of such existence (physical, biological, etc.), I think we can let that slide. It's not like actual aircraft carriers would be able to sustain the weight of such beasts either.
It worked earlier so I imagine it wasn't suppose to be released before.
You'd better hurry if you want to buy any NECA Godzilla figures. I read on their website that they've lost the license to produce any more. August is the last month they'll ship. One they're gone, they're gone.

Have you watched the original Japanese Godzilla films?
If you can suspend disbelief that a kaiju can stand and walk at all, rather than being as helpless as a beached whale and crushed to death by its own weight, then you can suspend disbelief that a kaiju can be carried by helicopters. The physics objections to both are essentially the same.
Given they have a gigantic ape being held up on the ocean as it steps on (in relation to its size) incredibly small aircraft carrier...

Yeah I don't think they're too concerned about believability/realism here (and neither were the original Japanese versions of these films.)
