Legend of the Seeker

I’m planning a rewatch of this series. I found it mostly enjoyable. It’s not great, but it’s fun fantasy. I also listened to a podcast when it aired that was good too. I can’t find it now.

I also snagged the first two books in the series to read, which I’ve read are mostly liked. But I guess they start to go downhill as they progress.

However, I’ve seen a lot of dislike for the author on Reddit. I’m reading some of the Spenser novels, and they’re definitely of their time. Is this the case with his books? I don’t mine books have different sensibilities than the present, nor do I expect them too.

Am I missing anything? Anyone here like this old series? It only lasted two seasons like Shannara.

I watched the first few episodes of the first season, and I enjoyed them. I only stopped because I lost track of it, not because I didn't like it.

I watched the first season--very different from the novel. I also read the first novel in the series. It was enjoyable, but very long. I remember that the world was interesting, but a lot of the descriptions of the rural society could have been a contemporary country village without electricity.
