Legend of the Seeker cancelled?

WELL... at least the keeper is on zed's side.... wanting to change the timeline back that is....

No one told alternate timeline Richard that the Sisters of the Dark would also be a threat to him.

"Zed, why didn't you tell me about this Keeper worshipping sisterhood?"

"Richard, the Sisters of the Dark were introduced in the second season, which was erased when I did the spell!"

"Watchoo talkin' 'bout, Zed?"

"Richard, I think we should..."

"Shut-up, Kahlan, men are talking. Anything else, Zed?"

"And your hahn should've developed by now."

"Hahn?"

"A minor bimbo in Earth history."

"What's Earth?"

"An obscure body in the SK system, but that's not important right now. We've got to find Kara?"

"Who's Kara?"

"She's your cousin...er...wrong show."

EVERYTHING IS CANCELLED BY A LUDICROUS SPELL.

I Got'sa question.... if the keeper sent kara back as a bainling.... can zed still preform the spell again and reverse everything....
O yeah... if the writers wanted it to work... then it's work... my bad....

The Keeper wouldn't do that anyway, so it doesn't matter.

Edit: strike that. Maybe he would, since he wants the timeline back.

Yes, really.

First of all, there was no Universe A or B. Zedd's actions completely wiped everything that happened away, resulting in completely different events up until his point in time. He didn't jump to some alternate universe. There weren't two different universes existing simultaneously. He accidently changed time, plain and simple, and didn't realize how important Kara's role was until he did so. That, too, was one of the big reveals as part of the seasonal arc.

Okay, so "Yesterday's Enterprise" instead of "The Wish". Same difference.

Second, as previously stated, we also learned that the Keeper is immune to changes in the timeline. That even when Zeddicus (even if unintentionally) unleashes amazingly powerful magicks, the Keeper would still be a very real threat... and one that they wouldn't be prepared for if he did try to tinker with the timeline.
But that's not important and barely interesting. Okay, so the Keeper is outside time and Zedd can't spell him away. So what? He's powerful and godlike. We already knew that.

Third, the seasonal arc continued despite the changes. The Keeper's plan simply changed to adjust to it, and the heroes, would-be heroes, and never-were heroes all played a part in those events.
You're assuming that the timeline won't be repaired. But even if the old timeline isn't restored, the writers still discarded everything about the universe we spent last 20 episodes (over 90% of the season) with in lieu of a new one. Okay, so the Keeper and Zedd carried over, but it's still a brand new universe. That's fine for a semi-reboot (Star Trek XI), but for the last two episodes of a season? Bad time for a new universe. If the old timeline is restored than it makes this episode even more of a waste of time.

Your insistence on comparing it to other shows, and being oblivious to the fact that it's very much a part of the seasonal arc, is a failing on your part, not the show's.
Still not seeing this connection to the arc. It was a good episode, but starting a new universe two episodes before the end of the season is just going to overcrowd the finale. They should have either done the new timeline bit earlier in the season or skipped it.

Well, looks like it's over. The series finale was excellent for the first 40 minutes, but that second Stone of Tears was an asspull of epic proportions. Deus ex Machina ending or not, it was still a fantastic episode. Well deserving of a 9/10.

That kid actor was surprisingly good too. Normally I hate child actors, but I have to give him credit. He did an excellent job with a difficult role.

I admit that I kind of looked sideways with the second Stone of Tears, but then I realized Stone of Tears=a stone made from tears, and I decided to give 'em that one as a parting gift...
:rommie:
As someone who didn't read the books (but ultimately plan to), I enjoyed the series for what it was and didn't miss a single episode. I thought it was a fun sword and sorcery series with a likable enough cast. Kind of sad to see it go, but I think it ended at a good point that served as its finale, IMO...

The second stone didn't both me, because there was so much fantastical bullcrap anyway.

I liked the series, but it couldn't go an episode without someone getting mind controlled.

And those monks seem forced in...have to get this new prophecy to the lead characters some how.

I have one little nitpick. Richard is the only male of the Rahl bloodline left (Darken is in some other dude's body). When Kahlan killed him, wouldn't Cara (and the other Mord-sith) loose all their abilities so she wouldn't have been able to give the breath of life.

I'll miss the show-Action, adventure, hot chicks in sexy outfits. I'll really miss that blonde in the red leather.

Reminds me of another flaw this season, in an earlier episode Richard dies and Kara notices her ageel no longer works. But we find out later in the season that Darken Rahl's father has been alive all that time and in hiding.
