Left 4 Dead

Rear Admiral
Rear Admiral
Left 4 Dead is out tomorrow.
Anyone got it early?
Any good?

I'll be hitting Circuit City to get mine.

Anyone else?

Loved the demo and plan to buy it in December, would get it early but no free money till then.

I hate games. I'm going to buy this sucker twice out of necessity.

Come on Trip Hawkins... make the 3DO-2 already so I don't have to buy the same game multiple times!

Well I bought it yesterday and though I didn't play it long enough to really judge it, what I did play was intense as hell!!!

Balls to the wall Zombies attacking from every direction "28 Days Later" style.

Just to clarify, I did start on the hardest level (which I may have to bump down) so it didn't seem like I was getting a moment breathing room.

The graphics I did see we good and the controls were pretty cut and dry but there are a few things I have to looks up in the manual.

I'm terrible about reading the directions, I usually just figure whatever out though the little training level at the beginning of most games, this one didn't have on that I saw.

All in all I did like what I played.

Anyone else?

It looks like a really fun game, but I just have no time for it. Maybe I will give it a shot in the spring.

Been trying to download the demo but with all the servers being messed up yesterday, no luck, I'll try it out now.

Played the demo. Didn't like it at all. I personally found it incredibly boring.

If you're looking for some mindless zombie bashing, then it may be funny. But if you're looking for a game that tries to go even the slightest bit beyond that, well, it's the wrong place to look IMHO.
Maybe I should have known beforehand. But it's a Valve game, and I really loved HL2. So I was hoping this would be good. But, really, the demo did absolutely nothing for me.

My copy should be delivered tomorrow. I need to get on with, and finish Dead Space, Fallout 3 as well as older stuff that I never got around to finishing.

I guess since the game came out, they took the demo down. Oh well.

I've bought way too many games in the past few weeks, so this will have to wait a while.

Yeah, it's an odd policy - the demo is only for people who bought the game already or only for people hip enough to grab it before the game comes out.

There's way too much awesome here for just one game.

I just played my first few versus matches, and it was incredible fun. Seriously, I can't remember the last time I cackled and laughed my way through entire levels, but this was just too damn good. Playing as the infected is awesome fun, and playing as survivors knowing that humans are controlling the infected adds a whole new dimension to the game.

Miss out on this game at your own peril.

Left 4 Dead in on my back burner for right now.

I'm currently playing Fallout 3, which as most of you know is a slow pace searching, with spurts of fast past action thrown in.
it's to hard (for me) to switch back and forth between the 2 game play styles.

I'm gonna get this game. I love zombie bashing. I played Dead Rising over and over again. I didnt care about the missions, I just wanted to see how many zombies I coudl kill before I had to get back to the helicopter. I'm going to get L4D

Don't have an X360, the Steam demo was time-limited too. I enjoyed the time I spent with the game but, at least in my case, I'm not sure it has the legs to justify a purchase. Apparently it was possibly to bludgeon the PC version into running split-screen using an X360 controller until Valve patched the capability out. I didn't try it, but it's been a long time since I've seen split-screen on the PC so I thought that was pretty awesome.
