"Voyager" is the easy choice for me. I've only seen like six episodes, and there wasn't a single one that I thought was better than 'has a few good parts'. None were consistently entertaining all the way through or particularly excellent or memorable. Any episode I've had to watch of that show was just hard to watch, and I thought most of them were really boring. I didn't like any of the characters either. I've seen even less of "Enterprise", but I was so blown away by "In A Mirror, Darkly", I have to rank it higher than "Voyager" as a whole series just on the basis of those two episodes.

Enterprise followed closely by Voyager. I've been trying to rewatch Voyager but I've stalled in the middle of season three (got fed up/creeped out when seemingly every episode opened with Neelix looking like he was having an orgasm).

But at least with Voyager I do like the characters somewhat - especially the Doctor and Tom Paris - and I've tried to look at the show as the adventures of the most stupid people ever to set foot on a starship. I can laugh at the wacky hijinks the characters get up to through their own incompetence, and at the writers total lack of understanding of drama/science/character development/life.

But then there was Enterprise - repeating all the mistakes of Voyager while coming up with several of its own. Like Voyager, the premise has so much promise - let's see how the Star Trek world as we know it came about - which they just ignore in favour of bumming around the universe retelling the same old safe bland stories like this is still early 90s TNG.

Enterprise; it's the pus-filled blister on Trek's tired old feet that didn't burst soon enough...

It's a close heat between Voyager and Enterprise - Voyager alternated between decent, good and shit on a weekly basis, while Enterprise is clearly divided between a shitty first and second season and a good back end. I could never really get into the cast for either show, with the exceptions of the EMH and Trip Tucker.

It was super tough, but I decided ENT was my least favorite.

I voted Voyager, because it didn't really progress Trek chronology. They were away from the Federation the entire time, so we didn't get to know anything that was going on then.

If Enterprise's last two seasons had been like its first two, then I would've gone with that, but Season 3 was decent, and Season 4 was generally quite good (if you overlook the wretched finale, of course).

Voyager, on the other hand, while watchable, never really lived up to its potential. In fact, it seemed to just get worse as it went along (although, IMO, there was a small upswing in quality in Season 4, but after that it just went downhill). Thus, Voyager gets my vote.

I figured VOY and ENT would be duking it out, but VOY is running away with it. Glad to see there was one TOS hater. C'mon folks! I want to feel the negativity and hate! Spew forth your venom and regurgitate your Romulan ale!

DS9 - life's too short for that level of pretension.
:cardie:

I have never heard it put that way before.

I have never been into soap operas. DS9 was, as someone else well-stated, a sci-fi soap opera. Therefore I did not enjoy it.

Not for the fiftieth time, sorry. If you were impressed, you were impressed. I wasn't.
Color me confused. Are you the DS9 or lone TOS hater? All answers are acceptable.

I love TOS better than any other version of Trek. I don't care at all for DS9.

Seriously, eventually over half the people who watched TNG stopped watching DS9 - it's not like disliking the show is at all unusual, there's just rarely a reason that it matters (like, say, someone creating a "least favorite of the 5" topic).

I wasn't  over you disliking DS9. I was :cardie: over your explanation, quote: "Life is too short for that level of pretension". What does that even mean? :wtf:

No need to get testy. Forget I ever asked.

Count me as the second TOS hater.

Actually, it's all not fair from my point of view. I've never seen a Trek series that I did not throughly enjoy.

I watched TNG as a kid and loved it. I went back to TOS and loved it. I went into DS9 expecting to be blown away and was not disappointed. I went into VOY expecting a TNG-lite style show and got just that. The surprise for me was ENT. I just recently watched the show for the first time. I expected it to be complete crap, based on all it's bad press. I found that I consistently enjoyed it, even "A Night in Sickbay." The only exception was that God-awful travesty of a finale. I'm still trying to repress it. :(

So, why am I a heretical TOS hater? Maybe it's just because the show was before my time. Maybe the 1960s production quality is just a little too jarring for me. In the end though, it's like saying "Who's the ugliest Playboy centerfold?" They're all beautiful, but in a ranking one naturally must come last.

My ranking:
1. DS9
2. ENT
3. TNG
4. VOY
5. TOS

I like DS9, Enterprise, and TNG a lot. Voyager is okay. But I don't like TOS (Either original or altrernate universe). Apart from Spock, it hasn't got a single interesting character, and it loves the reset button even more then Voyager, each episode having completly no effect later on.

Although I do enjoy all the series for one reason or another, and I am rather 'tired' of TNG at the moment, I find Voyager to be the weakest of the bunch.

You_Guyz's opinion

TNG- During season 3 and season 4, TNG gave us extremely high quality writing that DS9 and VOY rarely matched.
While it isn't my favorite series, the gems it delivered on many occasions will always keep it high up my list.

DS9- My favorite Star Trek series, I was totally engrossed by the storylines and loved the depth it had compared to other Star Trek series.

VOY- I was intitially impatient with some of the early episodes which I have actually since rewatched and realised there was a lot of damn good stuff there. The show was a bit of a wreck in terms of staying true to its initial premise but the fact of the matter is, I still enjoy watching a lot of Voyager episodes.
Its damned good comfort television that is very easy to dip into.

ENT- The first trek I watched and I loved it. Since then I've realised how banal the first two seasons really are at times and how derivative much of it is. Nonetheless, the last two seasons really were great and the show will always have a special place in my heard.

Therefore I am not voting since I don't want to name any of these shows that I love "least" anything.

Its writing really was at an extraordinary high high level in season 3 and season 4, the rest of the show maintained a high level but for me, its hard to get better quality science fiction than we got with some of those mid-run episodes.
Overall, TNG
