Law & Order SVU cast departure.

According to tvguide.com, Michaela McManus will not be returning to SVU next season.

I guess Greylek is staying in Washington. Can't say I'm too disappointed -- I never really cared for her character, and I don't think many other viewers did either.

There's some speculation that Stephanie March will come back full-time as A.D.A. Alexandra Cabot, but nothing is confirmed. I certainly wouldn't be opposed to that idea.

No word yet --at least none that I know of-- on whether or not Meloni and Hargitay have re-signed for next season.

saw that coming, hopefuly Meloni will leave as well (I actualy like the actor, hate the charater, he's gone too far too many times)

They should have one finale season with the cast and then just let everyone go. have next season finale feel like a series finale that could continue with a new cast.

Dick Wolfe likes his shows to be character proof but I'm not sure that he's achieved that with SVU that.

Then again if people are starting to get tired of Stabler the dick maybe it would survive if Meloni went.

Ice-T and Richard Belzer are very much down to supporting roles so might not make much difference there.

and it wouldn't be the first time Florek's been dumped from and L&O show :)

I don't watch SVU often but of all the episodes I've seen, I've never seen one with Richard Belzer in it.

I'm not sure Criminal Intent is character proof either. Chris Noth & Jeff Goldblum notwithstanding, I think it's very difficult to make it through that show unless you're an obsessive Vincent D'Onofrio fan.

I actually only watch episodes of CI if I'm bored and Jabba isn't in them, I cannot stand him!

The only CI I watched regularly was the last three seasons with Chris Noth, so now I'm not watching.

I can't stand D'Onofrio either. I enjoyed the character at the beginning, but then it got too much.

Good riddance. Both character and actress were terrible. I knew she wouldn't last. I haven't watched SVU much this season because she was so annoying.

My favorite CI episodes were always the Logan/Wheeler ones. They tended to be more down-to-earth, with bad guys being regular villains like the mob and stuff. Not so much of the outrageous stuff like with Goren/Eames episodes.

And I do so hate Nicole Wallace. What a cold hearted bitch.

and proven to be be totally heartless at the end

Really? He's my favorite detective out of all the versions of this show and all character pairings.
I think that his quirkiness and his extreme knowledge to go along with his past that we saw a bit of in the end of last season and the new season on Sunday.

He's the prime reason that I watch this version of L/O is because of Det. Goren...hell Goldblum is just added incentive.

New eps are back on now so you can always give it a second chance :)
