Every showrunner wants their show to get picked up, means that won't have to come up with another show to stay employed.

Sadly, CI has fallen a fair amount from its original premise - that we would flat-out get to see the crime as it occurred, from its perpetrators' point of view. If it was still like that, I'd hope for it to be renewed.

There's still the annoying perp music though!

^ At least they got rid of the original theme music. Nicking the one used by Trial By Jury was a step up..
