Laurence Fishburne leaves CSI

Anyone wanna bet that Christian Slater's agent was on the phone to CBS minutes after this came out?

If only he could play the same character as he did on Breaking In. Best part of that show, RIP. :)

I just heard about this today... and for the most part, I don't really care. I never really grew to like his character that much for some reason.

After watching the last two shows of CSI: LV, where Ray Langston went hunting after the serial killer, I questioned the credibility of this show. The way the writers wrote this chief investigator and his nemesis's characters are very far removed from reality. (I am not expecting 100% fidelity to reality in a tv show; but, I would like it if the writers treated their characters with more respect.) Frankly, I am tired of the cliche that serial killers target and pursue one cop. It's cow pukey.

Of the CSI shows, my favorite is New York. I think Sinise is a strong actor, and the characters on that show are likeable. Las Vegas is meh. Miami is predictable, and I am starting to hate the 'loading screens' in that episode. I am referring here to the police cruisers, suburban vehicles, and helicopters in pursuit.

I miss the good old days of CSI:Miami when Caruso talked differently, there was Latin music, and the cases were seriously twisted, but that's another story...

When you live life as David Caruso, everything needs to be suitably more epic.

Like, say, parking your car...

My favorite part of that scene is that he takes off his sunglasses when he parks the car, just so he can put them back on when it explodes ten seconds later.
