The last WW1 veteran just passed away. He was born in 1901 and died in 2011. Think of all the shit he's witnessed - two world wars, penicillin, the fall of the British Empire, television, planes, the emergence of the Soviet Union and the USA, the space race, computers, the internet!

I wonder if I'll also live to be 110 years old. If I do, the year will be 2100 when I pass away. I wonder how different the world will be by then.

I still don't understand why Washington DC doesn't have a WW1 monument. He has come over to try to get one built.

110... What a life.

Wow, what a life. RIP, Mr Choules.

He witnessed firsthand the most incredible century in the history of mankind. If the 21st matches it, there's no telling where we'll be then.

Normally when I think of old people, I go, "Gah, I hate old people!"

But when I actually take the time to think about how long they've lived and what they've seen and what the world was like when they were my age, it boggles my mind.

Yeah, I think the world is going to be a very different place if/when I reach that age.

Hopefully, in that idyllic future, nobody will say, "Gah, I hate old people!"
