"The Omega Glory" definitely might be a last contact episode. A quick recap: Captain Tracy visits there and infects his whole ship with something that turns them into salt piles, unless they beam on down to the planet where the magical technobabble allows everyone to heal and live for thousands of years, just like in that TNG movie where the most exciting scene is where Worf reveals his pimple, but I digress. Then comes Kirk and says they should leave so that the planet's inhabitants can continue to beat each other up*, and presumably nobody returns to the planet because of the innate biological threat.
* contrasting "A Taste of Armageddon" where Kirk was all too happy to meddle to prevent continued fighting between both factions involving their own special document too. Kirk and co never returned there either, and it too could have been a 2-parter where they explored Ventikar (but it's a decent enough story as it stood...)
