Went to an awesome music festival in NC this past June...we saw: Willie Nelson, Jamey Johnson, Lady Antebellum, Darius Rucker, Sugarland, and many, many more. We were there for 4 nights and 3 days; camped out - did the whole shebang. Met some really cool people too; I'd totally do that gig again. One of the best experiences I've ever had.
Probably the last thing I saw in concert was the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, as part of this year's Last Night of the Proms concerts.
So... My thoughts after the My Chemical Romance and Blink 182 concert was..
Whaaa??
MCR is a conceptually dark band with a sweeping, progressive musical style and brooding lyrics for the most part... Blink 182 is a self styled party punk band with lots of bouncy riffs...
This was one tour combination that should have been more thought out... They just don't go together..
Both bands are excellant in their own right (I knew this about MCR already and came away with a new appreciation for Blink after seeing them), but style-wise, they were just like water and oil...
MCR would be better suited opening up for other prog-like bands like Muse, Coldplay or Radiohead...

I used to go to the Mannheim Steamroller Christmas concert every year. Skipped last year (they haven't done any new music in a while - in fact I liked their concert better when the first half was all Fresh Aire music), may go back this time.

Using it to go to the concert IS letting it go to waste. You should have used it to balance a wobbly table.
