I joined in mid 2010 and have over 500.First...I have been here since 2003 and my profile has only been viewed 466 time!?
I'm not sure if that is a positive or negative thing...

I know I did check your profile a while back, can't remember why though. I do tend to check a lot of people's, especially if something they've said interests me or I realise I haven't seen them for a while. Although, I can't remember checking yours, Wilco (not implying anything there though

I've had a low flying period recently, so only eight people have been to my profile in the period the board remembers; they are a mix of posters I know and complete strangers (whose profiles I now am strangely curious about ) hmmm, maybe those strangers are just old friends with new usernames.

I'm thinking that if people are put off by visitors to their public profile-page they'd make sure it's a blank page - i.e. no photo album, no profile picture, no about me, no friends...

As someone who goes onto profile pages a lot, I suppose I should apologise to anyone who is put off by such things. I certainly meant no offense.
I'm thinking that if people are put off by visitors to their public profile-page they'd make sure it's a blank page - i.e. no photo album, no profile picture, no about me, no friends...

I love to visit profiles. Some people are fun and witty, others don't really fill theirs in. I also check profiles on new members, but that's old habit from checking for spambots. So if you're new and see my name, don't take offense.

If I show up in your list, it's probably due to a mis-click, or I secretly hate you and want to mess with your head by making you wonder why I visited your profile.

i would assume Lumi visited after I PM'd her when she bemoaned never having had a PM. Sho and Thrawn I'd guess were visting from the Trek Lit forum. I'm vaguely worried about why Lightning Storm was visiting. Maybe he's checking up on when my last batch of warnings expire?

I'll be happy to PM anyone who feels neglected and PM-less. I just tend not to do that unless I have a good reason, since I'm more than willing to post anything I have to say publicly. 
At least the members who choose to be visible, anyway.
Although even then, it does say quite a lot...Also, it may well be that invisible members also add to the view count, or at least that's how I understand it.

As I only ever had 8 visitors, I can only give you these:
- Arelemes - cadet with zero posts, maybe a stalker, maybe a spammer
- cooleddie74 - Isn't that the bloke, with the highest spam count? If this were MR, I would have easily overtaken that role in that time frame. Here I a just a low life, as we call them over at 4chan.
- Flying Spaghetti Monster - seen him/her (am unsure on most genders here) around
- KJbushway - yeah, same here
- mswood - no fracking idea
- RJDiogenes - probably contemplated banning me, when it was still time
- Seven of Five - maybe knows my alter egos? I can't even remember them.
- Tom Hendricks - may has seen me naked, accidentally?
I also had 1,673 visits, 7,000 less than cooleddie47.
Now if daWoim or LizardLaugh would have looked, I would be quite happy.
PS: Copying the links for the profiles just made me remember, that I was once user number 99x or so, at least below 1,000, and I think my name was malonga back then.
I often accidentally click on people's profiles when I am using my iPad. I would have no reason for clicking on Robert Maxwell's or Roger Wilco's as I know them well. I do admit I clicked on Alrik because he had stated in a thread he had been here a long time. I notice he was only a Commodore and I wanted to see what his post count was. Less than 1 a day - I am prolific compared to him.
