The difference between LD & VHS tape is visible on CRT, on LCD, on Plasma or any TV or HDTV because the resolution of VHS is well below 300 lines and LD is well over 400 lines. If you pretend not to see the difference you are blind or lying or just being an obstinant jerk as the other fella said.
It makes no difference what you are watching it on---there is a huge difference between tape & LD.
You don't want to learn and you don't know what you're talking about. 3 or 4 times the resolution is a massive difference and everybody who ever saw my laserdisc for the first time was blown away by the upgrade from their VHS tapes.
This idiocy of mocking how good it was 'back in day' is not the point at all--it's your bonehead contention that there is no difference 'to your eye.' There's a great difference you just are not seeing it. Your eye apparently is lousy and this thread is nonsense when you don't know what you're talking about from post one to your latest post.
You're mocking a format that is barely better then DVD in resolution (420 vs 480) and then saying you can see hardly any difference between 250 & 420.
If you can't see the difference between 250 & 420 how the crap could you possible see the difference between 420 & 480??
You simply don't know what you talking about. Ramble on 'tool' or 'miss' or whatever put-down you think is acceptable to use on other posters, but probably don't like being called yourself.
And I
do have HDTVs---starting in 2001 and i know the huge difference betwen Blu-ray and HD broadcasts and old LD & DVD picture quality. That doesn't mean I can't still see the difference between VHS & LD. i can see the differences between all formats and I'm not a bald eagle just a person who looks and sees and isn't just talking.
