Lance Reddick, of the Wire, Fringe, Lost, and John WIck, dead at 60

Damn, this really sucks. I've been a longtime fan of his. Not just the shows you listed but also Oz, Tron: Uprising, DuckTales, and The West Wing.

He brought such a gravitas to his roles...he will be sorely missed
He has such a distinctive voice. Even if they hadn't based the character design of Sylens around his actual physical appearance you know it's him as soon as he first speaks. (Horizon Forbidden video games)

He was also staying pretty active. He's Zeus in the Percy Jackson reboot and has some other films pending release too.

NOOOO! :weep: Ohmigod! Lance Reddick? I've been a fan of his since "The Wire" and "Lost".

Damn, this is really sad to hear, I liked him a lot on Fringe, and in John Wick and Horizon: Zero Dawn. I completely forgot he was on Lost, which is one of my all time favorite shows.

First saw him in Fringe and then got into The Wire only during Lockdown.

I just rewatched The Guest (for umpteenth time) the other day too :/

Nothing's been released about what happened, just that he died suddenly and it was of natural causes. He wasn't sick, I don't think.

One role I've seen neglected was his part as the evil CEO for three seasons of the recent sitcom "Corporate". A small sitcom where he wasn't even the lead, but he went all in on it. Not as iconic as his other roles, but something he seemed to revel in, getting to branch out into comedy, parodying his usual intense parts.

"Toys are ME!!!" I love Lance Reddick in The Wire, Fringe, and more. But his comedy shorts stand out to me far more than his dramatic performances. His IHoP bit slays me! Man, what a legend. Rest in peace, you BAMF!

That was pretty funny. I love that it's so ridiculous, but yet he's playing it so completely serious.

Re-watching The Wire for the third time tonight, and man what an actor! Just had to pop back in and correct myself. I love his funnies, but Mr. Reddick has some serious screen presence. I feel like he got typecast a bit, and that is why I get stoked on his funny internet shorts, few as they were. Would have loved to see him do some comedy. If you want to see a couple more shorts, look up Toys R Me, and his appearance on the Eric Andre Show. He makes a reference to Lavar Burton, and Lavar Burton offers a rebuttal in a later show. Funny stuff.

Oh, and very NSFW.
