I find your lack of nachos disturbing.

(Man, I cannot believe someone hasn't said that yet).

Ok after much discussion on MSN we have decided we need spokes-babe for the Nacho Hut cooperation.

Either Summer Glau or Jerri Ryan.

Rivers Of Cheese or Nacho MILF.

What?

You'd better open up a Nacho Hut in the Buffalo area.

Personally, I prefer my Nachos made with home made potato chips, instead of tortilla chips. I'll still eat those, mind you...but spuds are so much better.

I discussed this with SWMBO, it is possible this could work as a business (minus the cheese-sauce drenched bimbos) her idea is to open it near corperate business parks and universities and market via email and fax-flier to computer- and desk-bound worker.

I call dibs on the Syracuse franchise! :D

You do realize the job involves making nachos all day every day and delivering them to people who otherwise hate your guts except for the fact you are bringing them nachos.... not sitting in a hut all day EATING nachos. That'd be a sweet job too but damn it that's not what I'm paying you to do! :scream:

I like Nachos and I like MILFs, but the term "Nacho MILF" deeply disturbs me for some reason.

Thought I'd come back to this thread and tell everyone that the chicken fried steak I just ate, finally, was fantastic.

After much thought, I can't decide, so I voted they fight it out.

Lack of decent take-out Mexican restaurants in this area. Taco Bell gets worse every year, and Qdoba and Chipotle reek of whitebread, white-rice filler pretentiousness.

Yeah, I want nachos, too. Or at least a Taco Cabana locally. (Assuming they are decent still, since I haven't been to one in 8 years)

That could be an optional base, sort of like a different crust (to stick with my pizza analogy).

I want to be in the Market Research department so I can be out eating other place's nachos and stealing any good ideas they might have.

Problem is you'd steal all the really good nacho ideas and open your own rival company "Nacho Loft" or whatever. Plus I'd have to pay you. How am I supposed to get rich if I have to pay people! Automation I tell you! We have the TECHNOLOGY and the DUTY to make automated nacho-preparation a reality!

GOOD:
potato nachos
rice-cake nachos
rye-toast nachos

BAD:
fish-fin nachos
french-toast nachos
yellow snow nachos

See? I can do my own marketing research. :D

I just whipped some of this up, wanting real nachos.

My Nacho Recipe:

12oz of Machego Cheese (can be found in the ethnic cheese section in lieu of this Monterey Jack can be used.)
8oz of White Cheddar
1 TSP Salt
1 TSP Black Pepper
1/4 TSP Cayene Pepper
1/4 TSP Paprika
2 TBSP Butter
2 TBSP Flour
1/4c of Milk or Cream
1 Can of Ro*Tel Tomatoes and Chillies (optional)
Saucier Pan or a deep-walled skiller or other sauce pan.

Shred the cheeses

Melt the butter in the pan over medium heat and whisk in flour until mixture thickens and is a medium-blonde/light-brown color.

Whisk in Milk or Cream slowly and reduce heat - do not let this boil!

When sauce has thickened remove from heat and allow to cool slightly and thicken for a couple of minutes and then whisk in small handfulls of grated cheese whisking until melted before adding next handfull. When all cheese is incorporated whisk in seasonings/spices and Ro*Tel tomatoes.

Thanks for the recipe, I'll have to try that some time.

I use a pretty basic cheese-base and load my nachos up with beans and meat and tomato and sour cream.
