Lack of advertising?

The one of Cadet Tilly in the corridor has her insignia badly photoshopped in for some reason. I wonder if the cadet logo was a last minute change?
You know, now that you mention it, the insignia does seem to be added rather poorly. Also, in the shots on the Klingon ship the space background is pasted in pretty badly, too.

Or use the same one and add a hyphen. She is SM-G, Sarah is SMG.
That might work. Will start using SM-G myself :)

I think that the cadet insignia looks that way because of the fabric. Time for the Picard maneuver.

And if I wasn't really sold on the updated Klingon design, those photos would certainly do the trick.

The Klingon costumes (1, 2) look like they're partly inspired by Elizabethan fashion (1, 2). Perhaps intentionally continuing the Klingon/Shakespeare theme of Nicholas Meyer's TUC?

Or maybe they gave her the wrong badge during the shoot.

Could be anything really.

So I wonder if the people in these photos will be the main regulars?
If so, then I'm surprised by Sarek's presence, I had been assuming he'd just pop up a couple times. I wonder how he'll be appearing since he doesn't appear to be an actual crew member on either of the ships. Just holographic communications like we see in the first trailer, flashbacks in every episode, or could we be getting some political stuff based on Earth and/or Vulcan? I kind of hope we get some stuff with him on Earth, we've never really gotten to explore future Earth in depth in any of the shows.

Well, he IS the Vulcan Ambassador to Earth; and if (as has been shown in the TOS films) - the Federation Government and Federation Council is based on Earth - You would think the Ambassador of a Founding Federation world might be involved if a Klingon/Federation War breaks out; and an adopted daughter of said Ambassador is on the Front Lines. ;)

More billboards spotted, some in LA and NYC

The first ep is still going to be on CBS, right? All the promo stuff I've seen has just mentioned CBS All Access, which is fine for promoting the service but not so great for introducing non-fans to the show. Am I missing the ads for the CBS broadcast?

I wish they would get specific about the timing in which the episodes will be released. Ok, so the first two episodes get released on the 24th, at around 8:30 PM. So what about the next weeks? Anyone know what they did with The Good Fight?

I remember being able to watch new episodes of "The Good Fight" as early as the afternoon on the Sunday's they were released. Not sure the exact time they were actually posted. We also still don't know who is going to host "Talking Trek".

I'm constantly scrolling past DSC commercials and trailers on Facebook and Instagram. I'm guessing because it's on a digital service (All Access/Netflix etc), most advertising is online.

I think it's just that the House of T'Kumva that have that style of uniform. We've seen pictures of the Klingon from the House of Kor, and his uniform is totally different (and has a fur cape according to the actor).

I watch a couple CBS shows and they usually show at least one or two commercials for Discovery every hour.

Netflix should be responsible for promoting Discovery overseas since they have the international distribution rights. It seems like they're not doing the best job since they should be re-posting the content CBS is posting, at the very least. Though I did see a cool Netflix commercial today on Instagram that promoted the entire franchise, including Discovery being on Netflix.
