Kylo/***'s Conflict

I was just about to say the same thing, he was a better Kylo Ren than Ben Skywalker.

Shouldn't that be Ben Solo or Ben Organa?

While on this topic, Rey Kenobi has a nicer ring to it than Rey Skywalker. ;)

You are correct, I updated my post to fix that error. I too would like Rey to be the grandchild of Kenobi.

I don't see that one being pulled off easy unless they pull on Clone Wars material with his backstory with Satine, Duchess of Mandalor.

I like Kylo's spaz attacks. I got a good chuckle at that second one when the storm troopers turned away.

I don't know Adam Driver from shit, except that he is in something called "Two Broke Girls" or something but his acting was FANTASTIC!!!! I mean, I KNEW he was going to kill Han but I STILL thought, MAYBE he's going to go back with his father - his acting made me ACHE that he WOULD go back with his father.

When he killed Han, yes, I was gutted, but I was also gutted for the Ben that is inside.

BRILLIANT writing and incredible acting!

I don't have a problem with the character, but I thought Adam Driver was very poor. I don't think he looked right at all for Han and Leia's child, but that would have been O.K. if he had the acting chops.

He just didn't carry it. There was no depth, no menace and he came across as petulant rather than conflicted. I get that he's going to be crucial to the rest of the trilogy - I hope he raises his game...

It's evident that Kylo is meant to be a flawed, selfish, and as you said petulant child who would now be embarking on a path towards that menace you desired, under the tutelage of Snoke.

If you don't like the beginning of his arc, how is that Drivers fault? It was obviously intentional by the direction/writing. It's not like they wrote a menacing character, and JJ was just like "do it", and then Driver turned a Hayden 2.0 performance, and JJ is like "that's a wrap". If you don't like it you should be complaining about JJ/Kasdan, not Driver.

Actually I had to do a little research. Apparently in the UK, the word "spaz" (which is literally meaningless in the United States in terms of importance) is actually considered quite derogatory towards the disabled.

In the United States, the words has literally NO such meaning, so that's why it seems weird for an American when someone gets offended at the word.

Pretty sure it has the same meaning here, it just doesn't get much use.
