Kudos to end Spooks.

The long running spy series Spooks will according to Kudos, the production company behind the decade old programme will air its last series this autumn on BBC One.

Reports on the BBC News website and the Guardians Media website are saying that Kudos decided to end the series after ten years to allow it to end on a high.

Although it did seem to fluander at points, I've always enjoyed Spooks and I will be sad for it to end.

Anyway, the reports say that series ten will focus on the only original team member, Harry Pearce, his relationship with Ruth Evershed and his long career within the security forces.

So what do people make of the decision and what were some of the highlights of the series over the past ten years?

Series 10 will be the most shocking yet as no one dies!

Well I'll be sad to see it go. Aside from a bit of a duff patch towards the end of the Adam Carter era (I think Rupert stayed too long) I still love the show, but it is probably the right time to bow out. Can't complain at 10 series.

I'm pretty far from being a shipper usually, but I really hope Harry and Ruth get a happy ending as I love their romance to bits...given this is Spooks however, this seems doubtful...Ruth will probably be revealed as a Russian spy, shoot Harry, then blow up London with a suitcase nuke...

I'd decided not to watch this series cos I always tune out before the end of the series, but I'm gonna give it another shot because it's the final series.

I've only seen the first seven so far, but as far as I'm concerned it hasn't floundered yet, so I'll be sad to see it go. Still, you can't say ten seasons is a bad run. I do wish they'd release it in HD, though.
