Krull

There’s a general consensus, I think, that Krull is a bad film. So is it weird that I honestly, unironically enjoy it, and have since it first came out? Nice imagery; perfectly good setting; secondary characters with some depth; standard fantasy plot, sure, but not badly done; and I’d have liked to see how someone from this setting could end up ruling the galaxy in the unmade sequel.

I know one of my mates absolutely loves it and saw it at the cinema when it first came out.

It's been a long time since I've seen it (My first viewing was on home rental), but I remember rather enjoying it too.

I always think of it paired with The Sword and the Sorcerer, which I think came out around the same time — a willfully cheesier film, but I’ve always enjoyed it a lot too.
