I was really disappointed that there was no chase scene between KITT and the Super Bee (it just seemed like a perfect set up). Ah well, hopefully next week is better.

That would have been sweet, ending with a nice turbo boost over their car with them looking up, and KITT swerving around and having them slam into the side of KITT propelling them up and over, now that would have been a classic moment!

I'm really getting frustrated with the lack of good car stunts PERIOD on this show. The original show had KITT crashing through walls, turboboosting over cars and trucks, entering demolition derbys and off-road rallys, facing off against tanks and construction vehicles, and getting in long car chases across dirt roads and a variety of other terrain.

No matter what you thought of the rest of the show, that was always some fun shit to watch. The producers seemed to go out of their way to put KITT in every extreme situation they could think of.
The producers of TOS also had over 30 Trans Ams at their disposal to jump, race, and crash as much as they wanted. Whether the '08 team has even a quarter as many Mustangs on hand is doubtful.

I wish they would do more stuff with the car as well, even if they resorted to doing it in CGI. Can't be any worse than the scale models they were always using starting with the second season of TOS.

Yeah I understand that. But they could still make much more of an effort than they are. Crashing through glass or sheet-rock walls shouldn't damage the car that much, nor an off-road chase over hills and through streams and all that other fun stuff they liked to drive through on TOS.

And I gotta imagine any model work they did for turbo boosts today would be MUCH more sophisticated and believable than model work from 25 years ago (assuming anybody in Hollywood does model work anymore...).

"You don't even know who you're working for!"

That sounds like a line which could be working towards the "There's a hole in your mind" subplot...

But, I know.

Garthe Knight.

Just wait for sweeps.

Blow your fragile little minds.

:) ;)

They definitely won't be trashing the Mustang GT500KR. The car's sticker is $80,000 and would likely cost close to $100,000 at a dealer, as it's a pretty hot ticket and only 541 2009 GT500KRs will be avaible in the US.

Now they certainly could add aftermarket body panels and the hood scoop to a "run of the mill" Mustang Base or GT model and beat the crap out of it.

Just watched it last night. *BAD* Billy and Zoe should be shot on sight. I still can't figure out how a car with 500hp under the hood and computer assisted driving has so much trouble overtaking other cars. The oil-spot tracking was stupid considering the old should would have KITT sniffing the road looking for oil leaks. I won't even get into how dumb it was that the vehicle in question left an Exxon Valdez size spill in the road

I wonder how much Ford would be willing to sell them a bunch of run-of-the-mill Mustangs for. Not like anyone else is buying them.

So would The Hoff come back for that, or are you imagining Justin Bruening with an Evil 'Stache & Soul Patch™?

Hell, all they'd have to do is slap on a new hood and a little cobra emblem, and I don't think most people would be able to tell the difference! I certainly couldn't.
