Knightfall

Since we have a current Vikings thread, I thought I'd start this one too. How do people like this show so far?

I'm planning to check it out in the off-season, assuming it's available On Demand like Vikings is.

It is. I've been keeping up that way. Quite a bit of cloak and dagger going on.

Not quite as engaging as Vikings. Watching both in a row, my wife refers to Wednesday evenings as "the smelly men hacking and slashing night".

Since X-Files in on Wed now, we don't want to spend 3 hours watching TV, so Knightfall is the one we chose to DVR for later, or just skip if we don't feel it. So far, at least, none of the characters grab us nearly as much as the Vikings cast.

I will admit that, as someone who greatly enjoyed X-Files during the original run, I honestly can't muster enough interest in the newer seasons. I saw bits and pieces of several newer eps, but I just feel like it's been too long.

I started the pilot episode, I have all current eps DVR'd; it was fine until the scene where the Templar leader dude stabbed the highwayman in the back of the head and out of his mouth.

My 5yr old said, "DUDE! Dad! This show has so much violence and blood, it's AWESOME!" Yep, sorry bud, mom says I need to turn it off.

One proud, but sad dad now... I hope to get back to it.
