Knight Rider: First Image of the New KARR (Spoilers)

Knight Rider returns New Year Eve, so stupid people are put partying but that is because it will be the last episode before the re-tool so they might want to keep it quiet and promote the following episodes more.

I for one am looking forward to this. I wonder if they'll retcon the changes into the show using KARR to do it.

The ejection of three of the cast members are all people who would have been with Knight Industries for a while. Maybe all three had interaction with KARR and whatever it'd done?

Somehow that makes LESS sense.

So they've got this deadly prototype car with fucked-up sense of "morality" sitting in this warehouse and any dumbass can come up and just switch it on?! :wtf: Why was KARR even FUELED?!

"I am the prototype of the car of the future! What you saw was merely an inferior production-line model!"

Did you actually watch the episode? You need to see it again. When Michael was demanding to know why KARR had not been dismantled, Devon stated it was his understanding that KARR was dismantled. You know, "Shit happens".

Ugh, even more proof that the producers and writers don't have a clue what they're doing with this show.

There's no reason KITT going up against another evil car wouldn't have been exciting to see again, or been a big ratings hit. It's not like we've seen a TON of those on TV the last 20 years or anything. lol

If anything, this just seems like another way for them to get around the fact they can't afford real car stunts on this show-- so instead they'll just have KITT chase around some fake CG robot for an hour.

Knight to King's Pawn synopsis: Sarah (Deanna Russo) is not coping well with her father’s death and decides to leave town. Concerned, Mike (Justin Bruening) goes looking for her and in return gets the answers he has been searching for about his past. Meanwhile, the NSA has decided to dismantle the SSC now that Dr. Graiman (Bruce Davison) is dead and they can then move forward with KITT’s nemesis KARR. With Torres’ (Yancey Arias) permission they take out KITT’s (voiced by Val Kilmer) chip that contains his personality and memories and place it in KARR (voiced by Peter Cullin). Upset by what has happened, Mike, Sarah, Billy (Paul Campbell) and Zoe (Smith Cho) devise a plan to find where KITT has been taken and get him up and running and destroy the evil KARR once and for all.

Wasn't Knight Rider canceled? My DVR never got any more than 8 episodes on it. Never watched any of them either, actually.

Knight Rider is on its Winter Hiatus (as many shows go on this time of year) and will return early next year (when many shows return) in its retooled form.

Actually Knight Rider returns next Wednesday night (New Years Eve).

Fine, it returns so early next year it actualy returns very late THIS year.

;)

So it sounds like there will be no ties to the original KARR. That's just great...

KR08 Producers: Hey all you Knight Rider fans! Do you remember KARR!?!

KR Fans: Oh yeah! KITT's evil twin. Yeah we loved those episodes! We loved KARR! :techman:

KR08 Producers: That's great 'cause we're bringing him back!

KR Fans: Oh that's awesome! We always wondered what happened to him after KITT vs KARR! So it's going to be the original KARR in a Mustang body and nuKITT and nuMichael got to fight him. Oh God that's just great! I can't wait to see...

KR08 Producers: Well it's not going to be the original KARR, the Knight Automated Roving Robot. It's a new AI called KARR, the Knight Auto-Cybernetic Roving Robot-Exoskeleton, and it won't be a Mustang, it's going to be a giant robot!

KR Fans: Whaa... :wtf:

^ I suppose it's possible that there will be some ties, then again we don't know just how much of the show will be rebooted in their reboot.

Well if they're bringing back the voice of KARR, that's got to count for something, right? Even if this KARR is searching for the All-Spark.
