Knight Rider Ep12 to feature a character from TOS... Spoilers

If anyone remembers, when KARR was destroyed, there was a final shot of his CPU with flashing lights amongst the wreckage, seeming to indicate he wasn't completely destroyed. It seems like a natural sequel and homage to the original show. And yep, I actually remember this from the original airing (haven't seen it since!).

That's what we've been discussing. It's how KARR is able to return.

STORY LINE
KITT is stolen so his dangerous robotic counterpart, KARR, can be re-activated...

[JACK HURST]
In his 40s, contemptuous, corrupt, and determined, he's a badass NSA Commander who knew Sarah's father and oversaw funding for Knight Industries. He sweeps in with his task force, shuts down the SSC, removes KITT's chip and steals KITT for his own, nefarious purposes...GUEST STAR. SUBMIT ALL ETHNICITIES
Nuts, I'd forgotten about this. After watching last night's episode, where the bad guy tells Michael "I've gotta get me one of those" as he's being hauled off by the FBI, I figured he'd be a prime candidate to try and bring KARR back.

Hopefully KITT won't end up in a portable TV like last time... ;)

And it would be appropriate casting. Mark Pellegrino (the baddie leader) played Robert Lee, a lead villain in "Knight Rider 2010" who drove the car that the good guy had to fight.

It looks like this may not be the KARR we're familiar with.

In KOTLD it was revealed that KARR was an actual robot.

Yeah but on the screen it very quickly flashed a picture of what looked like a TransAm too... maybe KARR upgraded to a full blown robot to avoid needing a driver?

or a beta VCR :)

I'd give anything for the 3000 to be temporarily installed in the 2000 body. It would be like Clark flying in season 4.

but maybe it's sacreligious if Daniels isn't the voice but its Kilmer in the Transam body.

But the dialogue at the end made it seem like KARR was from around the same time as the 3k, well at least that was how I interpreted it.

With the technology in this series there should be no reason KARR can't transform into a Mustang, Trans Am or whatever they want.

I just rewatched the scene where KI3T pulls up the pics. The first pic is actually a Mustang side view, which confuses me even more. It seems the KARR images sort of evolutionize out of it. I'm not sure what the implication is.

I really do hope that TOS KARR's CPU is in there somewhere. I did notice that they specifically mention KARR was programmed for "self preservation" like TOS KARR. And frankly, I wouldn't put it past a government project to use the original KARR's programming in a military robot. I mean, if I can accept government stupidity behind the "Terminator" universe, I can accept it here - but it needs to be explained.

Well the casting spoiler pretty much tells you the storyline.

It's going to be KITTs new body but with KARRs old recovered CPU installed. The interesting bit is what's going to become of KITT until they're able to recover his body.
