Knight Rider 2008 Series SPOILERS

To pull a Timo (and I mean that respectfully), maybe the new show's Knight Industries "3000" is a hexadecimal number (12,288 in decimal), making it higher than the 1991 telefilm's Knight Industries 4000. :p

Except the number written 3000 in hex would not be pronounced "three thousand," because that's not what number it is. The number three thousand in hex is BB8. In the same way that 10 in binary is pronounced "two" rather than "ten."

3x16^3 + 0*16^2 + 0*16^1 + 0*16^0 = 12,288

I think Christopher meant 3000 converted in hexa ;)

So the car in the 2000 movie was Four Thousand and the one in the 2008 series is Three Thousand? I take it they aren't in the same continuity.

Don't forget that in that movie James Doohan played Scotty in all ten Star Trek movies, AD Skinner was the villian and the FLAG was handed over to Jacob Carter. ;)

and correct me if i'm wrong but in 2000 we didn't have cryo prisons lol

Yes, that's what I said. The number written "3000" in hex (which means what you just wrote out, 3 times the cube of the base plus 0 times the square of the base, etc.) cannot be called "three thousand," because it's actually twelve thousand, two hundred and eighty-eight. Three-zero-zero-zero is not the same as three thousand except in base ten.

Yep and Charles Manson was up for parole again. :rommie:

KITT will turn into GE products next.

Michael- Wow KITT you being a GE stainless steel refrigerator is fantastic

Turning KITT into a F150 is a tragedy... My expectations have lowered and lowered
Why? Just curious. Is it the commercialism? Is it the necessary suspension of belief?

Probably the latter. KITT could have turned into a Chevy Tahoe for all I care; it's still trying to accept that a sports car can transform into a pick-up truck. Does this technically mean that KITT's a triple-changer?

Well at least the other cars and trucks will have a scanner on them, so it won't look COMPLETELY like a Ford commercial. lol

Ah, yes... another attempt to be slightly humorous, shot to heck by overabundant seriousness.

^^Not so long as Ford is underwriting the show.

True.

I wonder if this will be like Walker: Texas Ranger where the good guys drive Ford products and the bad guys drive cars from other companies (in Walker driving a Chevy meant you were evil).
