Klingon's Eating Habits

Well, there's certainly a difference between buying an actual sex act and watching one on the...er...boob tube. :)

Yeah, you watch porn and use hand lotion or pay to get the real thing, any moral diff is purely in the individuals head...i'm no professional but I have had to fall back on my god given gifts in my life, I feel no shame for it.

My view is as long as all involved parties are happy with what transpires it really isn't anyone else's business.

That being said, if you (in the general sense) are going to tell me about your romps, don't be surprised if I in turn weigh in with an opinion. (smirk)

What are you doing Saturday night and do you take Visa?

Yes, but there was a sex act committed for you to watch it on the boob tube (or computer, or mobile device, etc). Otherwise you wouldn't watch.

PS Does this belong in TNZ?

Aw, but if it goes there I can't participate. :(

Actually, we've probably spent enough time being radically off-topic...

That said, I suppose one could argue as to whether there's a moral difference between "sponsoring" such activities and direct involvement.

^^Or possibly all of the above. ;D

Yeah, I'd go along with the idea that the Enterprise crew were just being a bit disdainful of the Klingons for their own prejudiced reasons. And bear in mind that not only were said Klingons on a diplomatic mission they were from the very highest ranks of Klingon society and therefore maybe used to more formal occasions.

For me, though, this is one of the most interesting aspects of Trek canon - the difference between TOS Klingons and the ones we see in TNG and later, with the movie Klingons that we see occupying some sort of middle ground between the two. It's obvious that Klingon society underwent some big changes during the century or so between the two eras, probably accelerated by the whole Praxis episode but maybe already beginning before that.

I have to agree, though, that as admirable as Worf's ideals and urge to better himself were, he was full of BS. Probably a result of being raised by humans and an understandable desire born out of that to be a "real" Klingon...

If only they could have met the Klingons of the TNG and DS9 era... oh how they would have appreciated the Klingons of their time :p

How the Klingons went from Cold, Hard and proud warriors to drunken dutch men in space I'll never know :D

Indeed - Kirk and co didn't know how lucky they were. At least Gorkon and his entourage didn't bring bat'leths to the party. :D
