This year's elections kind of remind me of the Klingon trilogy (Sins of the Fathers/Reunion/Redemption) from TNG. You have a powerful (and corrupt according to some) political family who feels entitled to the highest office (Clintons/Duras) challenged by an outsider who is self serving, power hungry and perhaps unqualified (Trump/Gowron). Luckily in our case this election shouldn't lead to a civil war (Hopefully!). I guess K'mpec would correspond to Obams and perhaps Worf might be Snowden. Not sure who the Klingon Bernie Sanders would be.

Ahhh - I don't think this is a good idea for the TNG forum. The idea is interesting but it wouldn't be long before tempers flared and that is something we don't need. You might try the Miscellaneous forum but it might not stick there either.
