Klingon Questions for K.R.A.D.

I must say that Lokor bears a certain resemblance to Queen Elisabeth I.'s spymaster Sir Francis Walsingham.
Methods of torture were common in the Elizabethian Age. Both Lokor and Walsingham protected high ranking individuals. Both were good at unveiling plots.
Suffice it to say, I like mysterious stories. And you don't want to have Lokor as your enemy.

^ Not a bad analogy at all. :)

FWIW, Keith Hamilton Cobb is my physical and vocal template for Lokor.

Here's a question (or two) for KRAD: Have your ever read the script for The Kitumba by John Meredyth Lucas that was written for the never-made Phase II series back in the 1970's? If so, what's your opinion of the portrayal of Klingons it presents? Do you think it is reconcilable with what did eventually follow in the Trek we did see?

I've always thought it'd be interesting to see the Phase II stories adapted as short-stories or novelizations, and think you'd be the best choice to adapt the Kitumba two-parter.

I'd love to see something like this. Guess it would work with some changes. E. G. to make Kitumba the title of a leader of an influent Klingon House instead of a Godking.

And of course take out the things that don't work with the later canon and replace them accordingly.

I think it would be more interesting to leave all of the inconsistencies in, and just present that as more a what if/alternate universe kind of thing.
Yeah, I actually like that idea better than what I suggested earlier.

I have not read it, so I can't speak to whether or not it might make a good book. :)

In case anybody in the thread wasn't aware, the New Voyages fan film series did shoot a version of "Kitumba", revising it to take place in the TOS era instead of the Phase II era. You can watch it here.
