DumbDumb & Meredith: I can see your Klingon story as something along the lines of a gritty story set apart from DS9 & the other known TV series & characters. Perhaps a Judge Advocate General case that would give you all kinds of perspectives to work with. Perhaps a character with the Federation News Service which would give your character access & opportunity to act out his/her mission within The Klingon Empire.

Hey, the Klingons are The Sopranos in space. You know, they plot, and plan, and murder, betray, and take each other's territories and possessions. And they got weird names too, like Worf, Martok, Gowron, Kang, kinda like Big Pussy, Paulie Walnuts, Fat Tony. It could work.
