Kitchen Nightmares (US)

I'm wondering if this show is coming back for a second season in the US. My wife and I like Hell's Kitchen, but something about seeing the real restaurants is great. I've watched the BBC version,w hich is probably the original, but he seems to be easier on those guys.

This show has confirmed some of my worst fears about eating out...roaches, things not cleaned...ugh. It's all worth it for Ramsey to call some dolt a donkey.

I've been wondering about that myself. Have caught the reruns on the Food Network from last season...I think they are probably waiting for the season of Hells Kitchen to finish up.

That guy could be on every show...splice him into Enterpise kicking Chef's ass out of the kitchen.

His business acumen always impresses me. He can smell out not only what the restaurant needs, but what the town needs. He's a real smart guy. Plus, he calls people 'cunts' to their face. Not alot of guys can pull that off and not get punched. My broken nose can attest.

Ramsay is a pretty intense guy there is no doubting that but he's got charasmia and acumen as well (not sure what acumen means but he's got it lol) and yeah he could be on pretty much any show and own it. I could so see him kicking Chef off Enterprise, although he probably would be CHEF. My grandparents who are from England and watch all the stuff before it comes here despise Ramsay...especially my grandma.

Knowing some older British folks, they probably think he's being rude. Which he is. In a funny way.

You think he's easier on people in the UK version? He doesn't pay to have their restaurants made over. From what I've seen, the US version seems much more manufactured and silly.

The UK version is a much better show than the US version which is filmed in the same sort of overthetop dramatic style that Hells Kitchen is shown
in. In the UK version Ramsay actually helps the owners by not just overhauling their restruant or pub or whatever but also by taking a look at their business plans and assisting them in revising them so that they can make a profit (I'm hearing his voice while I'm typing this post). The US version seems more about showing how revolting and disgusting restraunts are in general or can be...and embarrasing the owners.

I think they were going to bring back in the summer but it was such a hit that it's going to be on Fox in the fall.

I love this show, the restaurante people are so bad and think they can do nothing wrong.
