Kirk's Green uniform (help finding a thread)

Hello!

There was a great thread a while back, which I can't find now, that described how each iteration of TOS on video had tweaked the colors so that the tunics would be more or less green (with less than salutory impact on other colors in a scene).

I seem to recall the VHS tapes had the original color but the clamshell DVDs had more green in the mix. Does anyone know where that thread is (or can summarize it here)? Thanks, kindly.

I remember that article (thank you for it), but it sadly doesn't talk about the difference in colors in the various restorations.

Thank you for both of these. The thread is a lovely explanation of why the uniform is green/gold under various conditions (I won't even take a stab at it -- I'm color blind!) but what I'm looking for is a thread that talked about what various entities did with the color afterward. There was discussion that the VHS set had different color from the clamshells had different color from TOS-R etc.

I still haven't found what I'm looking for. And I can't live with or without it. </Bono>
