Kirk's First ship - the USS Farragut

If we could identify the exact features on the TWoK Reliant that are supposed to be its deflectors, maybe I could use that as an inspiration.

I think it is reasonable to use the three large ports on the bow end of the 1701 saucer as a part of the deflector suite on that ship. They're round and glowing, like the post-TOS deflectors. When you look at the TMP plans --

-- and check the bow view, you'll see Probert et al separated the combined "main sensor and navigational deflector" on the original ship into two parts. The sensors now ring the deflector.

That's why, on my Kiaga, I had features like oversized versions of these TMP sensors atop the saucer, and used the three glowing ports on the bow as the deflectors on this smaller ship. The sensors are atop the saucer, just as the same features are on the Reliant. As for the deflectors on that ship, when I did those plans I used details on the underside. You can check it out here:

Nice designs. A bit OT, but are you really still running OS X 10.1 or so? Brave! :)

I like it better. But I still think angling the pylons outwards from the midline would do a world of good.

But I'm idiosyncratic about things like that. Emphasis on the "idiot" part.

She's likely a fast Frigate, about 150-200 meters long, moderately armed (3 phaser emplacements d/v/a). Crew complement of about 200 or so per dialogue.
