Kirk's Black Uniform Shirt From the Promo Pics

There is no such thing as Section 31! All this talk of a subversive organization within Starfleet is utter and absolute nonsense!

Maybe it is an undershirt for an EV suit, and he didn't have a chance to change it. Beamed out in the nick of time straight to the bridge or something similar.

Black is the new gold/green. It is a bold new fashion statement.

It has been suggested by someone else that perhaps something happened to Kirk in this timeline (his father killed on the USS Kelvin before he was born?) and Spock brought him over to this timeline. (Perhaps in his timeline he was "blackshirted" for cheating on the Kobyashi Maru?) I think it would make for an awesome plot!

Oh man I hope it is not something that complicated.. :)

I heard that the entire plot of the movie revolves around Kirk's black shirt. It's even got its own credit, in the opening titles:

STAR TREK

DIRECTED BY JJ ABRAMS

STARRING KIRK'S BLACK SHIRT

CHRIS PINE

ZACHARY QUINO

STARRING KIRK'S BLACK SHIRT...

So you're saying the black shirt is some kind of symbiotic life form, perhaps even trying to take over the hero of the story?

Where DO these ideas come from??? ;)

Ancient, I must say that I almost always get a kick out of your posts...
The discussion about this movie would be about 22% less entertaining without ya. good job!:techman:

Thanks. Just wait until I do my fan dance.

Is it going to be first-billed, though, or will it be alphabetical?

Black Shirt demanded first billing, and since it is integral to the plot they really had no choice.

Black Shirt has a better agent than Chris Pine -- in fact, he's the same agent that got Gene Hackman top billing over Christopher Reeve in Superman: The Movie! Nice. -- RR
