Kirk's Baddest Hand-to-Hand Opponent

Well I was watching a few eps over the weekend, and realised how much I enjoy the fist-fighting scenes with Shatner/stuntman, and wondered who you peeps think is his best opponent. Forgive me if I've missed any good-uns off, but it's been a while since I've seen all the eps.

Spock's repeated double fist strike on Nancy Crater is monumental - doesn't he repeat this technique on his computer console in TMP?

Khan had super strength and agility and barely could do that.

That was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Especially when Spock (SO out of character) yells, "could the real Nancy take THIS?" I loved Kirk's fight with the disguised alien in "Journey to Babel". Especially when he misses a dropkick. Is that on the poll?

Just thinking what a shame Kirk never fought Commodore Decker, he kicked butt in TDM!!! I'll have to remember that coughing feint, if I'm ever being mugged! lol

Its got 2 be khan he was a right hand full in space seed metal bar 2 the back 2 finish him off if i recall !!!

I really liked that fight with Khan, especially when Kirk does a headscissors (!) wrestling move, but I wish they'd come up with a more convincing looking prop. Kirk beating Khan into submission with that clearly plastic baton was ridiculous.

Tracy is the only one on the list to totally kick Kirk's ass.

Fans often like to point at the Gorn fight being horrible, and they are right, but his so called "fight" with the guy in the cape and tight-fitting leotards in Requiem for Methuselah has to be THE WORST demonstration of defensive technique I ever seen Kirk put on.

Think about it.

He was being tossed around, literally manhandled by a skinny cape-wearing geriatric in tights!

Seeing that would make me WISH to get beaten properly to a pulp by an imposing man-sized muscleman such as Ron Tracy. At least I could take solace in the fact that I was beaten by a bigger and better man.
