If the new series is set after the undiscovered country then it's quite possible that Kirk will make an appearance. Obviously shatner is to old to play him. Would we wanted an make up aged Chris pine. Or a fresh face like Vic Mignogna who nails Kirk in Star Trek continues.

LOL. Mignogna nails William Shatner not Captain James Kirk, there's a difference between an actor who makes a character their own, than one who's research is by imitating another actor's performance nearly 50 years ago. The folks at New Voyages or Phase II, or whatever title they'll call themselves tomorrow, has the same performance issues as well.

The TUC and the launch of Enterprise B both occured in 2293. Any show taking place after TUC will likely be after Kirk ends up in the Nexus.
