Kingdom Come

Do you guys think Warner Bros will ever release an animated feature or maybe even miniseries of DC's Kingdome Come? I doubt it would ever go live action considering the budget size and back story would have to be pretty monumental, so animated would have to be ideal choice

I would like to see a motion capture animation style similar to Final Fantasy: Advent Children movie, but with Alex Ross's style on that series of course.

I would really like to see it, but I believe it would need something like rotoscoping to give it that slightly surreal quality to the fluidity of the animation (much like the old Max Fleischer Superman cartoons). Kingdom Come would need to stand out as something more than animation or computer animation while still being animation; it's a trick that would require more finesse than these DVD films usually get.

ninja'd^

True it has a large cast and backstory but so did that and from what I can recall KC told more of it's backstory than NF did. I would like to see them expand beyond the traditional animated movies they are doing though for that one, maybe a two parter.

I think they should use the Avatar technology for this. Like Alex Ross' work, it should be as photorealistic as possible and it needs to have that look for Superman - The same features as are there in the book but animated and emoting. Perhaps the "motion" need not be as smooth, but the "painted" look that Alex Ross achieved is a must for this.

I personally would really enjoy watching that movie.

woops typo, ironically enough, I am from Seattle and have been to a few Mariners games at the Kingdome. Thank you for pointing that out spell nazi, hehe

I've always wanted to see an adaption of Kingdom Come as well...I believe when brought up they have said at DCAU that Kingdom Come is on their list of stories they want to tell and know that fans really want to see an animated version of it. I agree that as a live action adaption it would be far too big to film unless you split it into some kind of trilogy or something. I'm fine with my Absolute Kingdom Come and Elliot S. Maggins excellent novelization for now.
